COMMENT: SW1.9-EMU "The Shadow introduced me to Zarko who was working on a C64 game project called Bricks'n'Walls, under Avatar flag. Zarko is a very cool and humbe guy with an awesome work ethic so we quickly got along well. His game project was a tribute to wallbreaker games like Krakout or Arkanoid. Out of respect, we agreed on adding a couple of tune covers of legendary wallbreaker music to the game project. It includes a lot of subtunes. The ingame ones were tricky as they had to be 2-channel as the 3rd channel was reserved for sound FX. The audio engine that provided all (+SFX) was SID-Wizard 1.9 tracker by Hermit who also offered some very good tech assistance on the way. About composing, all of the songs were recorded with a MIDI keyboard, arranged inside Reaper DAW and exported as 3-channel MIDI. The SWMconvert.exe turned it into 3-channel note data for SID-Wizard where the sounds became added / tweaked and the data assigned to subtunes. Using a MIDI converter is a very fast process. This way, the whole project took about the same time as feeding music data to a tracker manually for a single tune would." (NP)
